HOW TO CHANGE A FLAT TIRE


A flat tire can happen anytime on the road, make sure you have the proper equipment to change the flat tire into a new one. For changing flat tires you’ll need-

A spare Tire from a good tire store
Owner’s guide book
A lug Wrench
Pair of gloves
2-3 Pieces of Bricks or a square cut wooden for supporting the tire.

You’ll need 5 pieces of equipment to change your tire. We are briefing out some steps, how will you change a flat tire.

Step-1 (Park In A Safe Place)



Whenever you realize a flat tire, do not pull over suddenly. It can cause damage. On your hazard lights and slowly drive your vehicle in a safe place. A Smooth or level surface would be good for changing your tires. After stopping your car in a parking area or in a safe place, pull the handbrake upward so that your car can not roll down.

Step-2 (Place The Objects)



Place 2-3 pieces of bricks or wooden object in front of the back and front tires to support your tires.

Step-3 (Remove The Wheel Cover)


Use your lug wrench to remove the wheel cover or the hubcap counterclockwise. Just only remove the cap, without removing the wheel. Lug wrench is compatible with most vehicles. If you find any problem while removing it, you can quickly go through your owner guide book, or consult with any tires store.

Step-4 (Start Loosen The Nuts)


Use the lug wrench again and start losing the lug nuts. Remember, do not pull out the wheel, just lose the nuts. You may have to put force while loosening it and make sure you turning the nuts counterclockwise.


Step-5 (Set The Jack Behind The Wheel To Lift Up The Wheel)


You need to set the jack behind the wheel to lift up the wheel (lift high as much as possible for you). Most of the modern car has plastic jack. You can find the jack behind the front wheel and in front of the rear wheel. If you face a problem with finding the jack, you can use the help of your guide book.

Step-6 (Lift The Vehicle)


Make sure you set the jack properly in the right place. Start pumping it or rotate it for lift your wheel. Check your vehicle is in the right position while lifting.

Step-7 (Loosen All The Nuts And Remove it)


Remove all the nuts carefully. Make sure you do it counterclockwise, as you’ve done before.

Step-8 (Replace The Flat Tire With A New Tire)


Slowly remove the tire and replace the flat tire with the new tire. Put the new tire on the hub. Just tighten the nuts as much as possible with your hand. Then use the jack to lower the vehicle. After lowering the vehicle tighten the nuts again with the lug wrench.

Step-9 (Fit The Wheel cover)


Place down your vehicle on the ground. Then cover your wheel with the hubcap. (remember how you removed it before.)

Don’t forget to check the air pressure of your new tire. Take your flat tire to Tires Supplier to make sure if your tire needs a repair. You can take help from a tire store if you find one nearby.
